New station
KNFL testing in Utah on 1470 AM
A new mediumwave station
has begun test transmissions in Utah. KNFL in Tremonton
has been heard testing with rock music on 1470 AM.
The station was initially licensed as KACE, but
changed calls already before its launch. KNFL is
licensed to broadcast at a power of 1000 watts daytime
and 940 watts night-time. The station was first
reported with test broadcasts on April 22, posted
on Utah Radio News website.

Carráviz from Peru broadcasting on 1560 AM
A new Peruvian station has
been heard broadcasting on 1560.1 kHz mediumwave.
Radio Carráviz from Juliaca was first logged
by Jari Ruohomäki in Finland on March 25. The
station address is: 2 de Mayo 149, Juliaca, Puno,
Peru. Station manager Ivan Tito Vizcarra can be

Mil20 launched in Argentina on 1020 kHz AM
Radio Mil20 (1020), "la
radio de la gente", has begun broadcasting
in San Juan, Argentina, on 1020 kHz mediumwave.
The station started transmissions on April 10. Apart
from its own programming, the station relays Radio
Continental from Buenos Aires (590 kHz). Radio 1020
retransmits on 96.3 MHz FM. The station is headed
by Gerente Carlos Ortiz and Director Angel Casiba.

Espacial broadcasting from Peru on 4620 kHz
Radio Espacial from Otuzco,
Departamento de La Libertad, is a Peruvian station
recently reported on the shortwave frequency of
4620.4 kHz. The shortwave broadcast was reportedly
first caught by Alfredo Cañote in Peru in
early April, according to a posting on Condig mailing
list. Radio Espacial broadcasts at 0900-0200 UTC.
Radio Espacial operates also on 1390 kHz mediumwave,
where it was reported heard in Italy in 2002. Asociación
Luis Palau website indicates that Radio Espacial
is one of 76 Peruvian stations airing Christian
programs produced by the Association. Cañote
reports the street address as Bolivar 354, while
Colombian DXer Rafael Rodriguez heard the address
Jirón Bolivar 130, and telephone number +51-44-436236.
