New Italian private station broadcasting on 1512 kHz

Ondamedia Broadcast is a new low-power station broadcasting from Italy on 1512 kHz mediumwave. The station transmits from San Pietro in Casale near Bologna in northern Italy. The station's 600-watt transmitter is currently operated at a power of 350-400 watts. Eventually this transmitter will be moved to 1503 kHz, and another more powerful transmitter of 1.2 kW will be launched on 1512 kHz. According to station manager Roberto Furlan, Ondamedia is on the air 24 hours a day, although the station has also been reported operating at 0500-2130 UTC. Programming consists of music and local information. The station began broadcasting in August, and was reportedly first heard by Italian DXer Alessandro Capra on August 26. It has not been reported heard outside Italy. Ondamedia Broadcast can be reached by emailing to Roberto Furlan.
