Meeting Japanese DXers

Postby Mika Mäkeläinen on Sun Aug 04, 2002 0917 UTC

Jim Solatie traveled to Tokyo to get to know Japanese DXers. What do DXers listen to and what equipment do they use? Can sake give boost to DX meetings and a bottle of Asahi yield new stations on a DXpedition? Check it out at http://www.dxing.info/articles/japanese_dxing.dx - comments on the article and about DXing in Japan in general are welcome here.

As I pointed out in a personal mail to Jim, I greatly appreciate stories like these. It is always interesting to meet the person behind the signature and find that we are not only listening machines, but people with jobs and other interests as well! Good job!

Hi All,

I just found Jim's article (very nice article, thanks, Jim).

I'm not a member at the meeting, but know all DXers who have swum in the SAKE sea with Jim. Hideki and Takashi like SAKE very much. I do like to eat than to drink.

I'm living in Hamamatsu City, Central Japan. Most of DXing friends live in Tokyo, Saitama and Yokohama (Kantou Area) or Nagoya City (biggest city at Central Japan).

My OLD URL could be found at the bottom of the article. My latest URL is http://krozukin.tripod.co.jp
"Albums" is a page for QSL collectors.

I hope that many members will read the article.
