AFN Tuzla 1485

Postby Jan Edh on Wed Jun 02, 2004 0750 UTC

Hello,
In a schedule from AFN Europe they say that they are transmitting also from Tuzla, Bosnia on 1485 kHz.
The transmitters in Germany seems to be in accordance to the EMWG, but I haven´t seen any information about the Tuzla transmitter.
Anyone who has heard it?
Best regards

In January 1996 there was a short-lived station on 1020 kHz named Radio IFOR. Thanks to the split frequency easily audible here. Alas, never heard of anybody getting a QSL.

Believed to come from Tuzla, later they were renamed to AFN Tuzla. I guess it's that transmitter. And if my memory serves me right, this station had very few days test-broadcasting on the X-Band from the US under the name of K-Truck from Maryland. Operated by the NSA?
