If
you know the Farsi language, I would greatly appreciate
your help. I have heard interesting radio stations
from Iran, but I haven't been able to identify them.
This page contains recordings of those stations.
The sound files are
in Real Media format. You need the Real Player software
to listen to these files. If you don't have Real
Player, you can download the basic version for free
from here.
Then just listen to the soundfiles, compare your
observations with others and please email
me what you hear.

IRIB
Shiraz should be here, but is this just the 1st national
program of IRIB?
Mauno Ritola: According to the latest list,
this should transmit just the 1st national px |

An
unlisted Iranian, during the Ramadan. This was the
only announcement close to the local top of the hour
(0230 UTC).
Mauno Ritola: Many stations relay 585 R Quran
at night |

Mauno
Ritola: Was this exactly on the frequency? Ardabil
has crept upwards from 1268.9 and is now on 1269.07.
Or at least the ID which I have heard here sounds
like Ardabil. But this one sounds like R Kabul - was
it air at that time? Should have started in mid-Jan. |

Iranian?
or BBC?
Mauno Ritola: BBC shouldn't be on the air at
this time. Interesting! "Injo Radio ...ki"? Shiraz
and Bandar Abbas are listed here, but it doesn't sound
like either one of them.. |

Mauno Ritola: Sounds like Ardabil, which indeed
is here according to a new list |

is
there a location given in the ID? Urumiyeh provincial
program has been logged here, but this sounds a bit
different |

would
this be "...Urumiyeh, sedaye jumhuriye islamiye

Mauno Ritola: Yes. |
